【English Translation】 Words of Advice from Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche MP122: The Four Causes for Actualizing Rebirth in Sukhavati The Four Causes for Actualizing Rebirth in Sukhavati For those who wish to be born in Sukhavati (Pure Land of Bliss), the essence of practicing the four causes for being born in Sukhavati is: Focusing single-pointedly on the form of Amitabha Buddha (Amitābha, meaning ' boundless light'), reciting the following seven times each day and night: 'Guide, Boundless Light, please listen! Just as you have wished, may I generate the supreme mind of enlightenment. Whatever roots of virtue I have accumulated, may I be born in the western Sukhavati Pure Land, and having been born in the presence of the supreme Victor (Amitabha), may I dedicate them so that all the deeds of the great children of the Victorious One may be completely perfected. May I, immediately after this life, be miraculously born in the pure realm of Sukhavati, be prophesied by the guide Amitabha, and may I reach the end of complete maturation and liberation.' By Dhi Mingpa. Furthermore, pray to Amitabha Buddha: 'I have generated the supreme mind of enlightenment, may I dedicate all roots of virtue so that I may be born in the great blissful pure land, please bless me to accomplish this.'
