【現代漢語翻譯】 局米旁大師教言集MP186手掌量圍品 12-9-13b 手掌量圍品 梵語：Hastābhāva-prakaraṇa-kārikā。 藏語：Rabtu byedpa lagpai tsad kyi tsig le'ur byaspa。 頂禮薄伽梵語自在。 若有愚者于繩執蛇行， 見繩之時蛇執即無用。 繩之分如麻等，見繩亦復然， 如於繩誤執蛇，繩執亦是妄。 然其分與有分，次第而觀察， 一切如蛇于分，觀察亦復然。 如是車、瓶、氈、罐等， 一切事物皆當觀察之。 以智慧觀察各自之體性， 於世俗名言識之境， 于任何處，由他法施設， 執為彼，然自性本無。 如是，若將組成之基， 分析至不可分之微塵， 若於不可分者觀察， 則無自體可觀察。 故諸事物之施設基， 終極而言，亦無絲毫存在。 是故智者當觀三界一切， 皆如幻覺，如眩翳等。 雖顯現，然非真實存在。 若謂無境亦須有錯覺， 若如是，執著于無者之識， 既是錯覺，則彼識亦非真。 若謂有境，如何顯現非錯覺？ 然已說彼不存在。 非真實存在，然顯現為真實， 如何能成彼自體性， 故不可執取。 何人以如是細緻之智慧， 了知世俗顯現皆為分別念所施設， 彼具慧者，于貪等煩惱， 如何能輕易捨棄？ 如見繩而息蛇怖。 了知世間法僅為施設， 如世間所稱，不加分析而成立。 欲捨棄因執著諸法而生之煩惱， 當以勝義諦之特徵，尋覓事物之有無。 《手掌量圍品》完
【English Translation】 Collected Teachings of Ju Mipam, MP186, Chapter on Measuring with the Palm 12-9-13b Chapter on Measuring with the Palm Sanskrit: Hastābhāva-prakaraṇa-kārikā. Tibetan: Rabtu byedpa lagpai tsad kyi tsig le'ur byaspa. Homage to the Bhagavan, Lord of Speech. If a fool perceives a snake in a rope, When the rope is seen, the snake's hold is useless. The parts of the rope, such as hemp, are also seen as the rope, Like mistaking a snake for a rope, the rope's hold is also false. But its parts and the whole, examined in order, Everything is like a snake in parts, the examination is also like that. Likewise, carts, vases, felt, and pots, All things should be examined. When examining the nature of each with wisdom, In the realm of conventional terms and knowledge, In any place, designated by other phenomena, Held as that, but inherently without self-nature. Thus, if the basis of composition, Is analyzed into indivisible particles, If examining the indivisible, Then there is no self-nature to examine. Therefore, the basis of designation for all things, Ultimately, there is not even a little existence. Therefore, the wise should view all three realms, As mere illusions, like mirages and the like. Although appearing, they are not truly existent. If one says that illusion must exist even without an object, If so, the consciousness that grasps the non-existent, Is a delusion, then that consciousness is also untrue. If one says there is an object, how does it appear without delusion? But it has already been said that it does not exist. Not truly existent, yet appearing as real, How can it become its own nature, Therefore, it cannot be grasped. Whoever, with such subtle wisdom, Understands that all worldly appearances are designated by conceptual thought, That wise person, towards afflictions such as greed, How can they easily abandon them? Like seeing a rope and ceasing the fear of a snake. Knowing that worldly phenomena are merely designations, As the world says, establish them without analysis. Desiring to abandon the afflictions arising from attachment to phenomena, One should seek the existence or non-existence of things by the characteristics of ultimate truth.
